general info
AJ Jolly Park has been a staple in the Campbell County Community for more than 50 years now. They have held festivals and events that many people in the area have patronized throughout the years. And, although most people know AJ Jolly for the wonderful camping opportunities it offers, there is a little-known treasure within the park that is hardly taken advantage of… The trails at AJ Jolly Park were built and are maintained by the Northern Kentucky Horse Network. Because they are primarily used as horse trails, most patrons of the park either don’t seek them out or don’t think to use them. However, thanks to the ingenuity of the trail developers, these trails are a perfect place to go when you’re looking for a quality workout with a beautiful view!
trail descriptions  1 Mile Fun Run If you’re looking for a moderately intense distance that is challenging but comfortable, the 1 mile Fun Run is just for you. With moderate hills and a few creek crossings, this path will get you winded enough for a good celebration at the end! Recommended for parent/child participants and anybody looking to enjoy the scenery. The 1 mile Run will not be timed. 5k run The 5k run is a great way to enjoy the scenery of the lake and woods while embracing the challenge of the terrain. Whether you are walking or running, this distance will give you a great workout. With numerous hills and valleys, creeks, turns, and puddles (and possibly a fallen tree or 2), this distance will certainly put a trail walking or running novice to the test. Don’t let that deter you, though. The challenge ahead of you will build a resilience within you that will carry beyond the finish line. The 5k run is recommended for anybody age 12 and older who is ready to push themselves just beyond their current limit.
